Getting a good deal from the Green Deal

Our latest policy insight presents the conclusions of three workshops conducted with MPs in their constituencies in late 2011. We discussed with local stakeholders in very different locations how the government's flagship energy efficiency scheme, due to be launched later this year, would work in practice. We make recommendations for the changes that will help to realise the ambitions of the Green Deal and meet the needs of communities and the local economy.

The benefits of a circular economy

In late 2011 Green Alliance's Reinventing the wheel made recommendations to government on improving the UK's resource security through a more circular economy, an idea which is catching hold abroad.

To discuss the ideas behind this report, our Building resilience conference with the CBI in December, featured presentations from Vince Cable, secretary of state for business, innovation and skills,the EU environment commissioner, Janez Potočnik, and leading businesses.
